Prerender AI-Powered Design System
I built Prerender’s design system first, then prototypes on top. Developers now build from the prototype, and the round trip to development has roughly halved.

Tournament Management App
I built a school ping pong tournament app with Claude Code, mostly in one weekend, and designed each view for where it’s used. The backup needs no app.

AI-Built Design System & Operations App
I pulled a regulated financial institution’s brand from its live website, built an eight-screen back office on it, and only then extracted a design system.

XTB Investment Plans
I led the squad that designed XTB’s ETF Investment Plans for cautious beginners. We couldn’t recommend ETFs, so we ranked them by objective criteria instead.

merXu
On merXu, B2B deals get negotiated in the chat. Once we watched negotiations stall there, the brief changed from “add AI” to “add structure”.

Logivity
Logivity is an open transport platform where shippers and carriers work from the same shipment data. I led its UX, and Invoice Matching is where that shared data paid off.

Fig. 01Łukasz, Madrid
I was Head of UX at XTB, where I grew the team from 7 to 14. I’ve also led UX teams at Bank Millennium, Roche and SEQR, and since 2021 I’ve had my own consultancy.
At Prerender I’m the product designer, the AI builder and the product manager. I built the design system in Claude Code first, then prototypes on top, and developers now build straight from them. The round trip to development has roughly halved.
I host UX workshops and mentor at SWPS University. I’ve taught UX at the University of Łódź and spoken at 4Developers in Warsaw.

03— How I lead
How I run a design team,
in four short paragraphs.
At Atos I started a UX internship programme and grew four juniors to mid-level. Several later became senior designers at SEQR. At XTB I hired seven people: four came up through the company’s internship programme and three were senior hires.
- I.
I let research be the referee.
Our sponsor knew the product inside out and pushed hard on design decisions. I tried persuading him first, which made it my opinion against his. So I put the research artefacts on the table. What was obvious to him wasn’t obvious to first-time users. Next time the artefacts come out first.
- II.
I coach juniors with questions.
A junior designer and I pulled a competitor’s feature apart instead of copying it. I played consultant and kept my answers to myself. The feature was good. Who was it built for, though? Experienced users. Ours were beginners. It took longer than just telling him.
- III.
I treat constraints as the brief.
We had a compliance partner in the squad and a rule we couldn’t bend: no advice. So we ranked the options on objective criteria, and users read that as impartial. But if you can’t advise, the user still has to choose. Remote tests found confusion right at that step, so that’s where the education went.
- IV.
I tailor 1:1s to each person.
Research read-outs and design critique worked the same for the whole team. The 1:1s didn’t. Juniors got mentoring and mid-levels got help navigating stakeholders. With seniors we worked on keeping the workload sustainable. More prep than one agenda for everyone? Yes. And the team went from seven to fourteen in the meantime.

What it’s like
working with me.
Working with Łukasz across two different organizations (AMG.net and SEQR) gave me a unique opportunity to truly appreciate his expertise and professional maturity. Over the course of our collaboration, I learned a great deal from him — particularly in the areas of UX strategy, connecting user experience with real business value, project estimations, and facilitating effective workshops. Łukasz has a strong ability to frame complex problems, ask the right questions, and translate both user and business needs into clear, actionable solutions. He brings a thoughtful, structured approach to design, while remaining pragmatic and outcome-focused. Beyond his skills, he is a generous knowledge-sharer and a great partner to collaborate with. I would happily work with him again and can confidently recommend him as a UX professional who truly understands the intersection of design and business.
Eve, Product Designer, AMG.net (an Atos company) · SEQR
He is incredibly helpful and a real pleasure to collaborate with. Lukasz quickly grasps the purpose and goals of a project and has a remarkable ability to turn complex challenges into clear, effective solutions. He has consistently transformed customer requirements into impressive, well-designed outcomes.
Jakob, Subject Matter Expert, Volvo Group
He's one of the most thoughtful and innovative UX designers I've worked with. His ability to truly understand user needs and translate them into intuitive, user-friendly interface contributed significantly to our product's usability and continuous positive customer feedback.
Irina, Customer Success Manager, Volvo Group
One of Łukasz's greatest strengths is his ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, user-centered solutions. His agile, collaborative approach fosters innovation and ensures quality outcomes. Beyond his technical abilities, Łukasz is a joy to work with.
Frida, Product Manager, Volvo Group
Lukasz approached the challenge with curiosity and a strong problem-solving mindset, diving deep into both user needs and domain knowledge. His final design was intuitive, easy to follow, and well-received by our first pilot customers, who quickly saw the value and committed to the service.
Olivia, Product Manager, Volvo Group
Super professional, always on top of the latest UX trends, and constantly bringing fresh ideas to the table. He's one of those people who just gets it – both the creative side and the user needs. When he takes responsibilities, he always delivers with speed and quality.
Francesco, Software Architect, Oracle
Lukasz is an excellent communicator and CX/UX designer. He has strong ability to extract client requirements and to lead designs for the best possible outcome. He does a great job of bridging the divide between client requirements and development team needs.
Troy, Enterprise Architect, Oracle
The look and feel that Lukasz and the team developed for the website have remained relevant and are still being used a decade later — a testament to his design prowess and strategic thinking. The website was one of the first in Poland to adopt Responsive Web Design, and his dedication to delivering the best user experience and visual design was apparent from the project's outset.
Lukasz M., Head of Digital, Prudential (Pru)
Lukasz is very structured in his approach to projects — from conducting workshops on customer journeys, constructing prototypes, through to testing and validating the final design. He has a very 'design-orientated' approach towards finding UX solutions. Highly recommended.
Michael, Marketing Manager, SEQR
I find him as a very experienced and effective consultant. He is very committed and reliable. At the same time Łukasz has a very nice personality and is easy to get along with. I can recommend him as a very good partner in work life.
